An air fryer essentially produces the same crispiness of traditionally fried food by using rapid air technology. Where deep frying and pan frying use oil to generate that crispiness — deep frying by surrounding the food in oil, and pan frying by crisping one side at a time — air frying is instead based on circulating heated air around the food, inducing oil free crispiness.
An important part of the air fryer is how small it is. This small size ensures that heated air is circulated evenly and effectively, making sure that all the items positioned in the fryer come out crispy and cooked properly. The small size also reduces the cooking time; it’s not uncommon for foods to take approximately 20% less time in an air fryer than in a conventional oven.
Food will either be placed in the basket after the fryer has preheated or, in the case of some more fragile foods like eggs, left in as the fryer is preheating. Plenty of different foods can be cooked in an air fryer, as essentially it is an extremely powerful, very small convection oven.
Read the manual
Sure, most air fryers operate on the same basic principle, but every fryer has its own quirks that you’ll have to read the manual to fully understand. Taking the extra ten minutes to fully understand this kitchen appliance will totally change the way you use your air fryer.
Don’t overfill the fry basket
Obviously, it’s tempting to put in as many fries, chicken wings, or mozzarella sticks as possible when you first get your fryer. But you really shouldn’t crowd the basket; all that will happen, even in the best air fryer, is you’ll get unevenly cooked, mushy food. Make sure there’s enough space for the air to circulate and you’ll be more easily able to enjoy deliciously crispy fried food.
Cook for less time than you would in a conventional oven
On average, food cooks about 20% faster in an air fryer than in a conventional oven. If you’re moving a recipe or food from your normal oven into your air fryer, it’s highly likely that the food will burn if you cook it for the same amount of time. Instead, check on it a couple times until you can determine about how long it takes.
Move food around frequently
Even if you’re using the best air fryer, that says you won’t have to move the food around, it’s a good idea to give the fryer basket a shake every so often just in case. Even if it won’t burn when you just leave it alone, moving it around will often give you more of that crispy taste that you’re trying to achieve.

]]>There are plenty of accessories that you can add to your air fryer to make it cook a little bit better for you, and turn it into a multi cooker instead of just a fryer. Some accessories are provided with the best air fryer models, some you can buy from the same manufacturer that made your fryer, and some can be bought from unaffiliated companies. Here are some great accessories to look into.

There are plenty of very small pizza trays that are intended to be put into an air fryer, then absorb the heat to ensure a crispy crust while also cooking the toppings. When you’re looking to get a pizza pan, it’s important to look at how large your fry basket is; if you get a pan that’s too large or too small, you won’t be able to enjoy the pizza you love.
If you have baking tins from little toaster ovens and other small appliances, they may be able to fit into your air fryer. However, if you don’t, or if you have one that’s too big or small, you can find a great one for your air fryer just by looking around a little.
A skewer rack is specially designed to make sure that your kabobs don’t go anywhere when you put them in the air fryer, letting them bake more evenly and accurately. You can skewer anything on these racks, letting you enjoy deliciously crispy fried kabobs of any kind.
Many air fryers, even the best air fryer models, have a lot of depth, but not a lot of width. While this can be great if you’re making something like French fries, it’s not the best if you want to cook pork chops or steak. Buying a wire rack can help; these racks give your air fryer a “second story” so to speak.
Air fryers don’t just imitate frying; with the proper accessories, they can imitate a grill as well! Some fryers come with this accessory, but if you’re looking to make great cuts of beef and seafood, you’ll want to pick one up. The ribbed pan will create those classic grill marks that are so delicious!

]]>The post 10 Best Coffee Beans In the World Reviewed (Oct. 2018) appeared first on The10Co.
]]>To really get the full experience, you should start getting to know your coffee a little better by grinding it yourself!
The issue is, there are so many different kinds of coffee. If you just walk into the coffee aisle at the supermarket, you’re going to get overwhelmed. However, when you really get down to it, there are only two major categories of beans: Arabica and Robusta. It’s clear there’s something in those beans that people love. Most of the products that have made it into our top 10 include those two beans as major ingredients.
Before we get started with the best coffee beans for the year, here are a couple of facts about the drink you love so much.
The best thing about buying coffee beans is that it lets you have more control over the taste. Store-bought coffee just doesn’t have the amazing flavor that comes along with coffee you make yourself. Different beans create a huge range of flavors and textures. Knowing which one you like the most can save your morning routine.
We want to make sure that you’re getting the perfect cup of coffee every time. We can’t tell you the best coffee bean overall, because everyone wants something different! Instead, we’re here to give you a list of the best beans for all different tastes, textures, and preparation styles.
So without further ado, here is a rundown of
This product is amazing for people who want to make sure they’re leaving a good imprint on the Earth. Not only are they organic, but they’re also GMO free. This coffee is also made of 100% Arabica beans! No water is added while roasting, to ensure the highest quality and longest shelf life of the product. This product can be brewed through any method and coffee maker.
The beans are medium dark roast, which means they contain a rich and full body. However, some people feel as though the coffee is much closer to dark roast than medium. The flavors are rich and chocolaty, and the beans have an extremely low acidity, making it a truly heavenly experience.
If you’re looking for the incredible taste of coffee without the extra caffeine boost, look no further than Kicking Horse. This company uses Swiss Water, an extremely reliable and useful source, to decaffeinate their coffee. In essence, they introduce an internally-produced Green Coffee Extract (GCE) to the beans, which draws out caffeine on its own. Then, they refresh the GCE and do it again and again to continually bring out the caffeine. Lastly, they’re monitored for ten hours to ensure quality, then shipped off to Kicking Horse.
This product is dark roast and is certified 100% organic, as the company extracts the beans in Central and South America and roasted in Canada. The aroma is chocolaty and nutty, and the taste has a long-lasting finish, even after you’ve finished the drink altogether. Also, there’s no coarse texture or flavor from the de-caffeination process.
Café Don Pablo is extremely proud of this particular blend that they’ve created, which is why they’ve chosen to market it as their “Signature Blend.” The beans in this blend are 100% Arabica, and originate from Colombia, Guatemala, and Brazil, and are non-GMO.
The company roasts the beans in small batches, making them extremely flavorful and complex. The taste is much like cocoa, with a smooth toned finishing of low acidity. In fact, Café Don Pablo suggests that the consumer drink the coffee with no external sweeteners, in order to preserve the full body of the coffee. Preparation is also easy with any method or machine.
As Koffee Kult is a family business, the difference between its dark roast and its medium roast are night and day. They harvest the beans in the same way as the medium roast, but their aforementioned artisanal roaster treats them differently.
The main draw to this coffee is that it is extremely full and bold, but doesn’t have that extreme bitterness and “burnt” taste that some other dark roast coffees have. Rather, it is extremely bright, with a long finish and a smooth touch of cinnamon. This particular Koffee Kult blend is a great stepping stone into dark coffee if you’ve never tried it before.
Peet’s is one of the leading coffee brands in the UK, not just in whole bean sales but also as a coffee outlet that brews and sells its own coffee! The Major Dickason’s blend is a customer favorite. It contains 100% Arabica beans and is combined from many different growing regions to create an extremely complex taste that’s impossible to recreate through other means.
When tasted with a cupping method, this coffee’s aroma is of cocoa and wood smoke, and the finishing taste is reminiscent of walnuts, with an acidic mouth feel. When brewed, it doesn’t linger on the tongue for very long, leaving the mouth with the aftertaste of bitter, unsweetened chocolate, and slightly burnt caramel. Different brewing methods always produce a variety of different results, making this an incredibly complex product that customers across the world know and love.
Koffee Kult is well-known for having a strong, bold flavor that also has a smooth and velvety taste, and that’s why it’s so widely praised. Colombia, Guatemala, and Sumatra, considered some of the best places worldwide to grow coffee beans, provides the beans for this mix, and the company ensures they are organically sourced, though not 100% organic. Once picked, Koffee Kult’s artisanal roaster roasts them in Hollywood, Florida.
This blend contains 100% Arabica beans, making it perfect for any method of brewing. Its taste is smooth, with a perfectly balanced acidity. If you have a grinder that oil easily gums up, this is the perfect roast for you. It’s oil-free, meaning any grinder, no matter how sensitive it is to oil, can grind the beans.
This home-based business is now Canada’s number one bestseller when it comes to whole coffee beans, and for good reason. People love the taste of the coffee, and compare it at times to places like Starbucks. They appreciate the quality and the fact that there is a certified 100% organic option for their morning coffee.
The taste of this specific roast is completely unique, with a one-of-a-kind mix between dark chocolate, vanilla, and a gentle campfire smoke. Though the smoky taste is a beautiful addition to dark roast if it’s already your favorite, newcomers to dark roast will likely complain of a burnt taste. Because of the extremely dark roast, they also don’t have a very long shelf life.
Though this is essentially the same product as the whole roasted beans, this is one of the few ground coffees that maintains the freshness and flavor of the original bean. The ground beans are so smooth that they hardly need to go through any other grinding process; the coffee can go through any auto-drip coffee maker of any brand.
The bold flavor of Death Wish coffee is still somewhat of a mystery; they’ve never told where they get their beans from, but rumors are that it’s a mix of Robusta and Arabica both. However, there’s really no way to know. All that we know is that it’s definitely good coffee.
This coffee may come from Italy, but it’s not just the Italian customer’s favorite. Rather, people from all over the planet love this mix! Beans from Brazil, India, Colombia, Indonesia, and Vietnam are all part of the collection, and both Arabica and Robusta beans comprise the mix, giving it a taste that can’t be achieved with just one or the other.
Because of the mixture of beans, Lavazza achieves an extremely smooth taste to their beans, with a fullness reminiscent of dark roast and a taste that remains on the tongue. Arabica beans provide almost fruity acidity, while Robusta beans are bitter, but bring a more hearty body. The combination is sure to please those who enjoy medium and dark roast alike, and works perfectly for espresso.
It’s not simply that Death Wish has more caffeine than many coffee brands — they claim that it contains twice the caffeine than normal coffee. It’s also USDA certified as organic, so you don’t have to worry about whether your caffeine kick is good for the environment.
The beans are fresh, and the taste is extremely bold, with low acidity. The full taste is free of bitterness, which leaves it tasting smooth, with slight cherry and chocolate flavors. This is a great way to introduce yourself to a dark roast coffee without the extreme bitterness present in some more flavorful dark roasts.
No matter what kind of coffee you like, it’s almost always better to grind your own, rather than buy it at the store. You’ll be amazed at how incredible the taste of the coffee is when you start making it yourself! After reading this guide, we hope that you’re ready to make amazing coffee on your own.

]]>The post Top 10 Best Rice Cookers To Buy (Oct. 2018) – The10co Reviews appeared first on The10Co.
]]>Here, we’ve listed ten different rice cookers and given you a helpful peek into their respective pros, cons, and all-around usefulness.
Whether you’ve got lots of mouths to feed or just want to get all your rice cooking done at once for the work-week, this large and efficient rice cooker might be just what you’re looking for. It has the outstanding ability to give you a whopping twenty cups of cooked rice, and even has a tray which makes it a versatile vegetable steamer and even a slow-cooker! This all-in-one system really gives you some serious bang for your buck!
Capacity
This cooker’s large bowl and tray allow for up to twenty cups of finished rice, or the equivalent slow-cooker servings you’d never be able to fit in a tiny slow-cooker all by itself! Add to that its steaming tray, and you’ve got all the space you need for a whole meal.
Quick-Clean Pot
The actual pot inside this rice cooker is not only non-stick, but also removable, making for an easy clean-up after you’ve gotten your fill of its functions.
Accessories
This rice cooker comes with a steam tray, a measuring cup, and a rice-serving spatula!
On the high-end side of the at-home-cook’s kitchen gadget array should perhaps be this high-end, stainless steel rice cooker from Zojirushi. Though it comes in at one of the more expensive cookers on this list, its versatility and quality will more than make up for the investment.
Capacity
This model in particular boasts a five and a half cup cooked rice capacity, meaning it’s right around the mid-line for a single family’s worth of dinner rice.
Induction Heating
This feature alone makes the Zojirushi model worth the price. Rather than slowly heating an element within the rice cooker, this model uses induction heating to instantly heat the rice pot using a magnetic field, thus giving you more evenly cooked rice without fear of burning or sticking on the bottom of the pan.
Jasmine Setting
Unlike most rice cookers, this model has a setting specifically for Jasmine rice. Jasmine rice is popular in many dishes, but needs to be cooked a little differently than, say, short grain or medium grain rice. If you find yourself eating a lot of jasmine white rice, this feature might just make it worth your while.
Cuckoo rice cookers have been around for a while in Korea, and it’s easy to see why. While they come in at mid-range for price, their quality and ease-of-use more than explains the investment upon buying them. They’re light, simple to use, and come with just enough functions to make owning one more than worth it if rice frequently finds its way onto the menu.
Warranty
Cuckoo has been long known for its outstanding customer service, and their warranty is just part of that. For one year the manufacturer will replace all parts and the labor needed to keep your rice cooker in working order.
Fuzzy Logic Chips
This Cuckoo model uses what’s known as a fuzzy logic computer chip in its system, meaning that instead of just turning on or off to cook your rice, it will keep tabs on the conditions within its cooking pot to adjust and make sure that you get the perfect bowl of cooked rice every time you use it.
Easy-to-Read LCD Screen
Some rice cookers have so much information you can hardly keep track, and others have none at all. This Korean-made cooker comes with the Goldilocks screen – just the right size to give you all the information you need. On top of that, it’s incredibly easy to read even for the most sensitive eyes.
We’ve seen a few of the more expensive members of this best-of list, now let’s move on down the line towards a few more affordable models. The Tiger rice cooker is not only that, but also flat easy to use. On this model there are no screens, no doo-dads, and no tricky settings, just two lights to tell you whether the rice is cooking or being warmed, and a little switch to get it going. If you haven’t got the time or patience to deal with all this fancy nonsense other rice cookers offer, a Tiger model might be just for you.
Extremely Simple Interface
Like we said: two lights and a switch, with nothing in-between. Whether you’ve got the three-cup model or the ten-cup model, it doesn’t get any easier than that.
Keep-Warm Function
Some rice cookers will stay on indefinitely or not long enough, but the Tiger model seems to be just right at a solid twelve hours keep-warm function. Whether you live alone or have other mouths to feed, this function alone will make sure you’ve always got some rice at hand even if you don’t finish all that you cooked the night before.
Steam Vent
Cooking white rice uses two things – water and rice, and water means steam! More often than not, rice cookers just gather condensation in a really inconvenient area, and that can mean mold or musty smells if you don’t clean the entire system often enough. The Tiger model has a removable vent, though, meaning this hassle is now yours to be worry-free about.
We promised we’d get more inexpensive for you as the list went on, and here is where you really, really get the bang for your limited buck. Coming in at under twenty bucks, this single-serve little rice cooker will keep you munching all through the night, and its extremely simple interface means you don’t have to worry about anything but sticking rice and water in your cooker and setting it to cook.
Cup Capacity
This Black & Decker model is a little on the small side, generally considered a single-serve if you’re buying their 3-cup model, but the same rice cooker comes in sizes up to a whopping twenty-eight cups for what is still an absolute steal for the amount of rice you end up being able to cook.
Simple Indicator-Light Interface
Two lights, one button – this little rice cooker will click to the on position and when it dings, it’s done! All you have to do is worry about putting food in it, and it’ll do the rest.
Tempered Glass Lid and Holder
Not only do you not have to worry about burning yourself on this ergonomically designed pot lid, but it’s specifically designed to fit onto one of the handles on the side of your rice pot, which means no more condensation left behind on your counter!
Hamilton Beach is a well-known name in modern kitchens not only because of their wide array of appliances, but because of their inexpensive quality. This many-use cooker is rarely found for over fifty bucks, and on top of rice it can perfectly cook beans, whole grains and even pasta with its unique heating and simmering functions. For its price, the two sizes it comes in – fourteen or twenty cups uncooked – means you get plenty for what you paid for it.
Wide Capacity Range
Though the smallest available size in this model is fourteen cups, it can cook as little as two cups of uncooked rice if you find yourself not needing as much as it can handle or you’d rather thrown in other foods to cook with that rice.
Many Uses
On top of cooking brown rice, this Hamilton Beach cooker can handle pasta, beans, soups and even whole on-pot meals, while at the same time guaranteeing you a perfectly cooked dish every time.
How about something you don’t have to plug in for a change? Though it’s not quite set-it-and-forget-it, this easy-to-use cooker makes up for that by not only being simplistic, but inexpensive.
Accessories
This model boasts seventeen different pieces, including a full range of measuring cups and spoons.
Microwavable
Why take up counter space with a whole appliance? Just pop this easy-to-use little gadget in the microwave!
Aroma shows up again to prove that even the most inexpensive rice cookers can remain high quality and versatile with this two-in-one option; a rice cooker and a steamer, all in one sleep, pot-style look.
Capacity
This model is on the smaller side, generally considered a single-serve rice cooker at only three uncooked cups of rice (six cooked cups).
Steam Tray
Want some veggies with your rice? This little rice cooker’s got you covered with a built-in steam tray!
Pros
Takes up very little space, simple to use and simpler yet to clean.
Cons
No specifics-friendly interface: you turn it on or off, and it is either cooking or warming your food, and that’s it.
It doesn’t get any simpler than this. Throw in your rice and water, hit one button, and all you’ve got to do is wait for the rice to be done! Simple!
Turn-Off Function Test
Instead of warming your rice when it’s done, this cooker will turn off entirely, meaning you don’t have to worry about any electrical issues.
Easy Clean-up
With its removable inner pot and simplistic design, clean-up is a cinch and you don’t have to worry about any surfaces to catch all that steam.
If there was ever to be a crown King of Multitasking in the rice cooker world, this model is it! It boasts an astounding ten different functionalities and even comes with a delay timer so you can – what’s our favorite term? – set it and forget it!
Wade Range of Functionality
This truly versatile cooker can cook you anything from slow-cooker meals, to soup, to baked goods, and even yogurt!
Rice cookers are becoming one of the leading items cooks and home buyers go to when trying to figure out what kitchen gadgets they’re going to give their counter space to. With just how many uses and recipes you can get out of any one of these rice cookers, large or small, expensive or inexpensive, complex or simplistic, it’s really no wonder so many people decide to own one. You should, too!

The Philips Air fryer allows you to adjust the temperature and turn it up to 390 degrees, unlike other air fryers that only have one temperature setting. This also lets you cook a variety of different foods that require a certain temperature to make perfectly.
The HD touchscreen eliminates the uncomfortable and often confusing buttons, knobs, and switches a lot of air fryers have. This simple screen has icons that clearly state their function and eases the cooking process. Not only that, but eliminating the buttons gives this machine an elegant design, so you can keep it in the corner of your kitchen without it looking awkwardly out of place.
Auto-Off function: With the Auto-Off feature, you can place the food in the machine, sit back, relax, and let the air fryer handle the rest. You can set a timer for it to automatically shut off once the cooking is done.

There’s no such thing as one best air fryer for every single person; each person needs a different set of features on their air fryer, and that’s why we provide so many different options. It’s important for us to present every product we show you in a fair and unbiased manner, so you can get the best air fryer for you. After all, that’s why we’re here — we want to be the reason you buy a product that you use every day for years!
Reducing your grease intake and cleaning up your diet sounds very appealing, but are air fryers the right solution after all?
Read below to clear up any questions surrounding air fryers and check out which ones would suit you the best.
Not all air fryers are made equal, and not all air fryers will suit your needs. Think about how you’ll be using the air fryer to figure out which one to buy.
Capacity
First thing is figuring out who you’re cooking for when using an air fryer.
Is it for your family or for yourself?
Getting an air fryer with a high capacity with layer rack is crucial if you are cooking for 3 or more people, but if it’s just for 1-2 people, a smaller size will do just fine.
Cooking modes
What will you be making when using an best electric air fryer?
Will it be frozen fries, chicken wings, chips, and other simple dishes, or more complex recipes that require different heating options, like grilling, steaming, and baking? Air fryers like the Philips XL AirFry are perfect for people who will need an appliance with different modes so they can make a large variety of meals. The downside to it is the steep learning curve you have to go through in order to understand the machine fully, but once you do, you’ll be making mouth-watering cuisine in no time.
Automatic cooking
Do you just want to place the food in the basket and sit down and relax knowing that your food will be ready in a bit, or do you mind checking on it every once in a while? Air fryers like the T-fal Actifry, which has a stirring paddle, were made so that you can rest easy knowing that you won’t have to do much to eat. Other air fryers products require a little more attention if you want some food in your stomach. Checking out air fryers with specific functions that best fit your needs is important before making a purchase.
An air fryer is primarily composed of multiple different parts:
The fan is the most important part of the fryer, and is what sets it apart from other cooking utilities. These convection fans surround food and are what allows the rapid air circulation that makes foods crispy and evenly cooked.
The heating element is generally an electric burner, set in the interior of the air fryer. The heating element is directly controlled by the temperature settings on the outside of the fryer.
The fry basket is what you put the actual food in. This is almost always removable, and tends to have a handle on it to easily transfer food from the fryer to the plate. Many times, the basket is also dishwasher safe, to make cleanup easier. Fry baskets may have an accessory like an extra shelf, to increase the space available for cooking flat items.
This is where you control what’s going on inside of the fryer. Control panels can be as simple as an analog knob for temperature or as complicated as a digital touch screen with presets and a timer! Many air fryers also have an indicator as to whether the fryer is on, and sometimes also whether it’s still warm from the heated air, or it’s cooled down. Control panels are extremely varied depending on the air fryer, so it’s a good idea to check your specific model.
So, how do air fryers and deep fryers differ from each other? There are actually some significant ways that you may not have thought about.
The best air fryers are marketed on their ability to produce an air fried texture to the outside of food that mimics that of deep fried food. While it can definitely get pretty close, there is a specific taste and texture to deep fried food that’s impossible to replicate just with rapid air circulation. It isn’t an extremely distinct difference, but your air fryer food will definitely have a different feeling to it.
Air fryers and deep fryers are fairly similar in their heat, though deep fryers can get significantly hotter if necessary. However, 400 degrees Fahrenheit, which is generally the highest temperature that an air fryer will go, will burn most oils anyway. The way the air fryer convection fans surround food makes it just as useful anyway.
Because of the way that deep fat frying works, it will generally take less time to deep fat fry than it will to air fry. However, the difference is generally fairly small, so it’s not a great reason to stick to deep fat frying.
Sure, deep fat fryers are nice to have around, especially because they’re a very cool-looking kitchen appliance, but they’re not really the multi cooker that air fryers are. Instead of just frying, air fryers can do a substantial amount of other things, and deep fat fryers are unfortunately limited in what they’re able to accomplish.
This is absolutely where air fryers come out on top. Deep fat frying is dangerous and resource-heavy, and takes a lot of effort. In stark contrast, air fryers are pretty light on effort, and don’t require any more resources than pan frying would. For just about the same effect, most homes benefit heavily from getting an air fryer, as opposed to setting up a frying station on the stove.
There’s no one way to tell if something is good for you or not. A certain amount of fat is important for your body to keep functioning properly, and just eating fried foods now and then definitely won’t have a negative impact on your health by itself. However, air fryers let you cook a much larger array of food, and they let you cook these foods simply and easily. Being able to cook more food more simply will definitely lower your stress levels, and there’s strong evidence that being more comfortable while eating lets you absorb more of the nutrients from it! It’s a win all around.
Air fryers definitely cook more quickly than conventional ovens; on average, they cook about 20% faster, simply because of the way the hot air is compressed inside the fryer. That doesn’t necessarily mean they’ll cook more quickly than every other method of cooking available, but you’ll definitely cut down on cooking time with an air fryer as opposed to your huge, hot oven.
A decent, simple, single-person serving size best air fryer can cost about $60 to $100. These will probably not have any accessories and will only have the ‘frying’ function, but they will get the job done. A high quality, functional, large air fryer will be between $120 to $300. These will have various accessories, cooking modes, and time-saving features.
Best Air fryers were made so you can enjoy deep-fried foods without the unhealthy aspects, so the answer is yes! The way air fryers prepare the food is using the Maillard effect, a completely natural chemical reaction that gives food its brown color. No harmful rays are used to heat up the food.
Steak, chicken, fish, french fries, veggies, pizza, cake, kebobs, and more! Depending on the size and model, you can cook in an air fryer like you would in an oven.
There are many advantages to using an air fryer over an oven. For example, the oil is extracted and usually kept under the basket when in an air fryer. In an oven, all the simmering oil gets splattered around, and even though the food may turn out delicious, there’s a bit of a mess left afterward. Also, when deep frying food in an oven, the heat might be too harsh and can leave you with an under-cooked meal that looks nice and crispy on the outside, but raw on the inside. The hot air circulation in most air fryers is designed to evenly cook food. ( safety – our first priority)
Coat the food with a thin layer of oil and turn up the heat to at least 200 degrees so the hot air can circulate around the food and get the desired effect. Sometimes, you won’t even have to use oil at all.
Prepare the chicken like you would traditionally. Preheat the air fryer for 10 minutes at 200 degrees. Sprinkle the chicken with seasoning, pass it through white flour, a bowl of battered eggs, then back to the flower again. Place it in the air fryer basket and set the timer on for 30 minutes. Cook at a temperature of 350 degrees. Flip after 30 minutes or until the outside has reached a golden-brown color and then wait 20 minutes for the other side to cook.
It depends on your needs. If you like cooking and using different recipes, the Philips XL AirFry or the Kalorik might be the best air fryer. The Philips model is especially good for those that love gourmet food, because the recipe book and app come with 5 exclusive Gordon Ramsay recipes that he came up with specifically for air fryers.
If it’s just to fix yourself a frozen meal really quickly for movie night, something simpler like the T-fal ActiFry is better. College students, people who live alone, or people who want to test out air fryers for the first time would be better off with the small but functional GoWise model.
Thinking of buying it as a gift but not sure about the other person’s cooking habits? The Black+Decker model is your best bet. It’s affordable yet high quality, not too big, and it has many features that are useful no matter how much or how little skill you have in the kitchen while keeping everything simple.
Yes. Because an air fryer can do the same things a stove can but with less energy, they save you a lot of money on the electricity bill.
Approximately 12-15 minutes, depending on the density of the fish.
Despite the many advantages that come with owning an air fryer there are a few disadvantages, such as:
Sure, there’s something nice about the crispiness of a fry right out of the deep fryer. However, if you’re looking to make a chicken, a steak, or an apple pie, you’re not going to turn to a deep fryer. More than likely, you’ll be turning to the conventional oven for those things. With an air fryer, you get the best of both worlds, so you can cook all of those things in one appliance.
Even if you don’t have a huge deep frying machine, and you’re just using a pot of oil and a strainer, there’s still constantly the potential for issues. After all, you have a huge vat of oil just sitting on the stove. What happens if you accidentally drop in food from too high, and splatter oil on yourself? Or What happens if you spill oil on the burner? What happens if you knock something else into the oil? An air fryer lets you get the high heat and intense crispiness of a deep fryer, but it’s oil free, removing many of the dangers.
More and more, research is starting to show that we absorb more nutrients from foods that we crave — and, vice versa, that we crave foods with essential nutrients. So while you may appreciate deep-fried mozzarella sticks for a little while, you’re not going to want to eat them every day for three months. Instead, an air fryer can let you switch things up, giving you many different crispy foods while not giving you a deep-fat flavor.
A gallon of oil is not cheap, and it can take twenty or thirty minutes just to heat it to the proper temperature. You also have to constantly watch it, and make adjustments to the heat to ensure you’re keeping it at the right level. Then, once it’s all cooked, you have to get rid of the oil, which is an entirely different problem that requires even more resources. On the other hand, the best air fryer is very easy to use. Just put the food in and use the controls to choose a temperature; once it’s done, you can either hand—wash the basket or, in many cases, put it in the dishwasher.
Best Air fryer are all the rage these days, and after reading this article, hopefully you see why. They are an excellent solution to a problem many people have today— giving up unhealthy foods while sacrificing flavor and enjoyment. And it’s so much more than just about the oil. Because air fryers are so easy to use, even people with limited kitchen experience will find themselves preparing food with air fryers. This is beneficial because eating out has been linked with diseases and attacks to your immune system due to the fact that we just don’t know how hygienic the other person is being when preparing our food.
Eating from home frequently helps your health just as much as simply ordering nutritious food at restaurants. They might be a bit too small for that Thanksgiving dinner and, depending on the model you buy, you might not be able to do much else other than heat up frozen fries, but that’s a low price to pay for a machine that helps you eat healthy without much of a hassle. When talking about the Philips XL AirFry, Gordon Ramsay said, “Cooking healthy shouldn’t mean sacrificing taste.” We couldn’t agree more.

]]>The post Air Fryers vs. Convection Ovens – Choose the Best appeared first on The10Co.
]]>So, when it comes down to Air Fryers vs. Convection Ovens… which is worth your hard-earned cash?
For those not in the know, Convection ovens and Air fryers work on basically the same principle. The air within their space is heated, usually with a halogen bulb or electric coil, and circulated around food to cook it. Both appliances will usually also allow for specific time and temperature controls, making them easy to use.
The main differences are the size of each appliance, the price range, and the amount of food they can prepare.
Convection ovens are considered the superior option when it comes to home-cooking. They cook more evenly, more quickly, and produce crispier results than a traditional oven.
In relation to air fryers, however, the matter becomes less clear-cut.
The Pros:
The Cons:
While you can get a convection oven for $100 – $500 if you’re looking to get a really good model you might have to consider paying $1000 – $3000.
Air fryers were initially intended as an alternative to deep and shallow fat frying methods. Hailed as a healthier alternative, they have quickly gained traction. The question is whether or not they can be versatile, too.
The Pros:
The Cons:
You can easily buy a decent air fryer for $100 – $300. This makes them more affordable than convection ovens, but they are less versatile.
In all honesty, convection ovens and air fryers have broadly different purposes. While a convection oven aims to be a smarter, more powerful version of the traditional oven, the air fryer simply replaces other frying methods.
With that said, however, the air fryer can take the place of a convection oven if you intend to only use the oven for oil-based cooking methods. If you simply want a healthier way to crisp your favorite fried foods the air fryer is for you. If you want something that bakes, roasts, fries, and can hold a casserole dish… well, the convection oven is your best shot.
In the end, it boils down to what you can afford and what you have space for. Remember, a convection oven generally replaces, or works in tandem with, a traditional oven. An air fryer, however, is a counter-top appliance much like a mixer or blender.

]]>The post How to Fix an Ugly Lawn? The10co Guides appeared first on The10Co.
]]>If your lawn is patchy, weed-riddled, or otherwise unappealing you should follow our four simple steps. If you do this you can be sure that you’ll have a perfect lawn for next summer!
Now, if you have simply let your lawn slip a little this may not be necessary. Nonetheless, the first step you should take is to ensure that your lawn is free of trash and rubble. If you are moving into a “fixer-upper” this is likely to be necessary. Once you have removed all debris from the lawn it’s time to deal with weeds and crab-grass infestations. Now, you could dig the weeds out one by one, but a far quicker method is to use weed killer. Check out 10 best weed killers for 2018.
Once you have dealt with the weeds, crabgrass, and other eyesores you are like to have bald patches. It’s okay, this happens! The best thing you can do is over-seed in the fall. Some people like to simply throw the seed down, add fertilizer, and water it. However, there are those who swear that covering seeds with a layer of peat moss is the way to go. In any case, the next step should be to begin filling in any bald patches in your lawn.
If you want to keep that beautiful new lawn healthy you should also think about proper feeding and fertilization. Remember not every fertilizer is created equal; pick one that fits your needs. For example, Scotts “Weed and Feed” fertilizer also keeps dandelion and clover at bay while feeding your lawn. Milorganite, on the other hand, is the most budget-friendly and “beginner proof” product on the market. A well-fed lawn is a beautiful lawn!
It is key that you do not let your lawn become overgrown and wild. This will not only ruin the look you have worked so hard to achieve, but it will make it harder to spot problems! To ensure that you are cutting your lawn properly you must make sure that your mower blades are as sharp as possible. It is also key that you keep your blades as high as your mower will allow. Cutting your grass too short can open the door for crabgrass and other hardy week species.
If you do all of this, you can be certain that your lawn will not let you down at the next family barbecue or neighborhood event! Remember, it is far better to prevent your lawn from deteriorating than it is to start from scratch.
